What We Do

Transportation Services

The Transportation Department supports the daily movement of students throughout Sumner County Schools while also providing specialized, operational, and extracurricular transportation services.

Student Transportation

Daily transportation services help eligible students travel safely between home and school throughout the district.

Route Planning & Coordination

Transportation staff develop and maintain routes, stops, and schedules to support safe and efficient student transportation.

Specialized Transportation

The department coordinates transportation services for students whose individual needs require specialized transportation support.

Field Trips & Extracurricular Activities

Transportation support is provided for approved field trips, extracurricular activities, and other school-related travel.

Fleet Operations & Maintenance

Transportation personnel support the inspection, maintenance, and operation of the district's school bus fleet.
