Scott Langford grew up in Sumner County and graduated from White House High School. He attended the United States Military Academy for 3 years, earned a bachelor’s degree from MTSU, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Emory University, a Master of Arts from Trevecca Nazarene University, and a Doctorate of Education from Lipscomb University. He taught history and English at Forest Park HS in Georgia, Social Studies at Pioneer Christian Academy, and English at White House High School. He coached football and wrestling at WHHS. He later served as Assistant Principal at White House Middle School, Principal of White House High School, and Chief Academic Officer of Sumner County Schools.
Dr. Langford was selected as the 2022 Tennessee Supervisor of the Year. He is also a national leader in the importance of high-quality instructional materials and foundational math and reading literacy.
