Planning For Your Future

The Transition Program as part of the Special Education Department has developed this Transition Planning link for you as you prepare for life after high school.  We know that a successful transition from high school requires support from many sources.  Our goal is to provide you with links to services that will provide for successful post school outcomes.

The time has come to explore your options and strengthen your abilities, always keeping your dreams in mind.  We hope to be able to answer some of your questions about college, vocational/technical schools, workshops and independent living.  We will provide you with links to state and federal programs as well as other service providers.

The Individuals with Disabilities Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEIA 2004) is a law about Special Education and gives you specific rights to be involved in planning your education.
