The SRO program is a collaborative effort between the Sumner County Sheriffs Department and Sumner County schools. A Sheriffs deputy is assigned to all seven high schools under the supervision of Captain Dwayne Wright.

The Title IV, Safe & Drug Free Schools Program is currently in the process of filing its yearly application request for available funds for Summer County.  Comments and suggestions from parents and community members on effective programs for implementation with these funds are welcome.  Additionally, SDFS program evaluation results, including results of the annual student alcohol and drug survey, are public domain and available by contacting Pat Conner at 451-6500 or at pat.conner@sumnerschools.org.
